UUIDCPL mapping/CPL Matching is the process of grouping all the various CPL’s for a given film into one entity and assigning identifiers to that entity. This way you can make a reference to or from every known CPL for a given version of a film through one central point.
Separation in our systems are currently done by screen format 2D/3D and original language/dubbed languages.
A list of CPL’s in our system includes the CPL name and where in the world that CPL exists.

By doing this you can ensure that your systems can know that either:
1. A given CPL matches an external identifier. This way you can automate processes based on the CPL in your playlists that returns an External Identifier.
2. A given External identifier matches a list of CPL’s. This way you can automate processes based on an External identifier that returns a list of CPL’s.

Example: The feature Frozen are available in both 2D and 3D and being a kids film it’s also available as local dubbed versions. In our system it is then matched into the following groups:
Frozen <2D>
FROZEN-2D_FTR_S_EN-XX_US-PG_51_2K_DI_20131024_TDC_IOP_OV
FROZEN-2D_FTR_S_EN-XX_US-PG_71_2K_DI_20131024_TDC_IOP_VF
Frozen <3D>
FROZEN-3D_FTR_S_EN-XX_US-PG_51_2K_DI_20131024_TDC_IOP-3D_OV
FROZEN-3D_FTR_S_EN-XX_US-PG_71_2K_DI_20131024_TDC_IOP-3D_OV_VF
FROZEN-3D_FTR_S_EN-SV_INT_51_2K_DI_20131202_TEU_IOP-3D
Frozen <2D>
FROZEN-2D_FTR_S_NO-XX_INT_51_2K_DI_20131129_TEU_IOP_VF
Frozen
<3D>
FROZEN-3D_FTR_S_NO-XX_INT_51-ATMOS_2K_DI_20131203_TEU_SMPTE-3D
FROZEN-3D_FTR_S_NO-XX_INT_51_2K_DI_20131202_TEU_IOP-3D_VF
Frozen <2D>
FROZEN-2D_FTR_S_SV-XX_INT_51_2K_DI_20131128_TEU_IOP_VF
Frozen

FROZEN-3D_FTR_S_SV-XX_INT_51_2K_DI_20131127_TEU_IOP-3D_VF

Each of these entities can have one or more External ID’s of different types linked to them used for any of the following reasons. Automatic resolving of advertisement for the correct film, Automatic grouping of various versions of a film for reporting purposes or automatic suggestions for the correct CPL to use after POS import of a schedule.

Example for POS workflow:
The NOC matches the correct CPL’s to the correct ID resulting in Frozen with NO dub having an External POS ID assigned to it.
POS feed is imported into the TMS.
The TMS suggests the right CPL to use in the imported schedule based on the External ID from the POS feed.
